Chubby checker - looking at tomorrow

The Best Men Wedding Band Playlist has been meticulously chosen to ensure you and your guests have the most memorable night possible.  Whether it be a nostalgic track from way back when or the most recent one hit wonder, we are here to make sure the playlist works best for you.

"The Twist" began as a B side for Ballard and the Midnighters in 1958. But in 1960, former chicken plucker Checker covered it at Dick Clark's suggestion. "Going crazy is what I was looking for — where the music is so good you lose control," Checker said. " 'The Twist' did that."

A : Like I said, I’m living the dream. When I was a kid I had this magazine, and I said “Look dad, I want a car like that.” He says “Really, Ernest? Like that? That’s a Rolls Royce, Ernest.” I lived on his farm, where we raised chickens and pigs. I said “I want to sing onstage like Ernest Tubb; I want to be on the radio.” He says “I really don’t know what to do with you.” Now I’m in my 70s, I still have my health, I look good and I’m still singing in the same key; I definitely can’t complain.

Checker rode this success by releasing “Let’s Twist Again” in 1961 and “Slow Twistin'” in 1962. He went on to release a bunch of other songs with dance themes, including “The Mess Around” , “The Hucklebuck” , “Limbo Rock” and “The Fly.”

Dinner – Dinner can be a larger meal, but don’t go overboard. Stick with low fat meats or fish. If you bake chicken, don’t leave the skin on. Ditto for fish. Almost any veggies are fine, as long as they’re steamed, baked or roasted and not fried. A dinner roll is okay, but use whole wheat or whole grain. A potato as a side dish is fine a few days a week. Drink water or skim milk with your meal. Dessert might be a fresh piece of fruit, sugar free jello and fat free whipped topping.
